★★★★★I searched around for a starter rebuilder, not because I can’t find a new starter, but because the new starters are not as great quality and don’t typically last as long as the original built, as I’ve been told by many others. I have a 23 year old SUV with 200k miles, the starter finally stopped working and needed a replacement. I called Sleepy Hollow Rebuilder after calling many others. I spoke with a very nice Gentlemen Ira. Ira said “bring it in, I can usually get to it in a day. Sure enough, I brought it to him late in the day Thursday and by Friday afternoon he called me and said it was done. The starter was not only fixed, it looked brand new! I was skeptical, paid a very reasonable price compared to new and went on my way. The next day I installed the rebuilt starter and connected the battery back up, the SUV started right up, without hesitation! Thank you Ira! I appreciate people like you that put in the hard work and do what you say! Not only is it hard to find someone that will actually rebuild something that’s broken, but who keep their word! They were honest in letting us know that our alternator wasn't bad and didn't charge us anything for checking it out for us. They have a friendly staff and a quick turn around on their work. It is 1.5 hours from us but it is worth it to get good reliable work done. Well worth the drive.
